Around the campfire the men trade stories of the day's adventures around the fire before settling down with a can of gingeroot beer and zipping up the bug net to go to sleep. |

The sun rises above Bull's Crossing, the designated camp site for the Safari Down Under. This is the only shallow crossing for cattle and man for miles around. The salt water and upper fresh water areas are nearby, making Bull's Crossing the ideal base camp. |

The Gulf is a spectacular sight from the air. Some remote areas are only viewable from the air as the rivers are constantly changing with the tides and seasons. Some areas containing saltwater crocs are too dangerous to approach from boats. |
The area offered many challenges for the filmmakers. Mounts were improvised for shooting from boats, four-wheel drive trucks and the helicopter. |
