After a tough day in the wild land of the crocodiles and wild boar, nothing tastes better on the barbie than a fillet of Barramundi fresh from the eskie and grilled on an open fire.

Around the campfire the men trade  stories of the day's adventures around the fire before settling down with a can of gingeroot beer and zipping up the bug net to go to sleep.

The Gulf is a spectacular sight from the air.  Some remote areas are only viewable from the air as the rivers are constantly changing with the tides and seasons. Some areas containing saltwater crocs are too dangerous to approach from boats.

The area offered many challenges for the filmmakers. Mounts were improvised for shooting from boats, four-wheel drive trucks and the helicopter.

Remember this is Aboriginal land, a beautiful part of Australia where a thousand people live as others did for centuries before them.

For the foreseeable future the gulf is likely to remain as it is - unspoiled by man, an explorer's paradise for adventurers, bird watchers, fishermen, 4-wheel drive overlanders and city dwellers who want to experience a very different part of Australia.
