The steadicam arm was mounted to the vehicle racing next to the herd
at a speed of 30-40 mph. The articulated arm absorbed all the shocks
caused by the rough terrain and maneuvers among the stampeding herd.
Rigged for low mode, the camera sailed rock steady six inches above the
ground as it burst through stands of grass. Operated from the vehicle,
the steadicam offered a full 180 degree range of perspective, even at full
speed.
